The primary aim of the notice is investor protection.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2021 Bybit received a similar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fca.org.uk\/news\/warnings\/bybit\">warning<\/a> from the United Kingdom&#8217;s Financial Conduct Authority. In March the exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bybit.com\/en-us\/announcements\/important-announcements\/bybit-to-suspend-services-to-uk-customers\/\">announced<\/a> that it would stop serving residents of the country.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-text-wrappers-update-2 article_update\"><time class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_time\">1 June 2021 | 09:50<\/time><span class=\"gtb_text-wrappers_update_head\">Update: <\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bybit representatives said in a statement that they take their legal obligations seriously and are cooperating with the FSA.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to work with our legal advisers to assess the situation and determine the optimal approach to protecting clients&#8217; interests,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>In 2018 the FSA warned Binance about the need to obtain a licence to continue operating in Japan.
