{"id":43872,"date":"2021-06-07T15:13:39","date_gmt":"2021-06-07T12:13:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=43872"},"modified":"2025-08-31T14:23:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T11:23:10","slug":"skybridge-capital-urges-investors-to-hold-onto-bitcoin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/skybridge-capital-urges-investors-to-hold-onto-bitcoin\/","title":{"rendered":"SkyBridge Capital urges investors to hold onto Bitcoin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The SkyBridge Capital chief investment officer, Troy Gajewski, urged holding Bitcoin in the portfolio, despite gold&#8217;s strong prospects. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-06-06\/gold-is-good-but-bitcoin-s-better-for-7-5-billion-hedge-fund\">Bloomberg<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe are going to stick with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, because we see strong growth potential,\u201d the top executive said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to Gajewski, record spending and US debt are contributing to the dollar&#8217;s devaluation and drawing investors to alternatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIt is highly likely that gold will continue its uptrend and hit new highs over the next year,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gajewski stressed that SkyBridge Capital holds a modest stake in gold-mining stocks.<\/p>\n<p>According to the chief investment officer, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-invested-25-million-in-bitcoin\">Since launch<\/a> in December 2020, the company\u2019s Bitcoin fund has risen 51.2%.<\/p>\n<p>In January 2021, SkyBridge Capital forecast the price of the first cryptocurrency <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-major-investors-could-push-bitcoin-above-500000\">to rise above $500,000<\/a> and described the digital asset <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-bitcoin-has-become-a-solid-long-term-investment\">as a good long-term investment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Founder and managing partner Anthony Scaramucci <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capitals-scaramucci-fully-focused-on-bitcoin-as-the-undisputed-leader\">called Bitcoin an unequivocal leader<\/a>. In his words, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-chief-says-bitcoin-is-better-than-gold\">Bitcoin is better than gold<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In March, SkyBridge Capital and the consulting firm First Trust Advisors <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/skybridge-capital-and-first-trust-advisors-file-to-launch-a-bitcoin-etf\">filed an application to launch a Bitcoin-based ETF<\/a>.
