Minerd stressed that the price of digital gold could move sideways for the next few years, until the cryptocurrency market becomes bullish again.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2020, Guggenheim Partners <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/guggenheim-partners-forecast-bitcoin-to-reach-400000\">predicted<\/a> Bitcoin would rise to $400,000. In January 2021, Minerd <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/guggenheim-partners-confirm-forecast-for-bitcoin-to-reach-400000\">confirmed the forecast<\/a>, but urged <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/guggenheim-partners-urge-selling-bitcoin\">to lock in part of the profits<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In February he <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/guggenheim-partners-projects-bitcoin-to-reach-600000\">predicted<\/a> Bitcoin&#8217;s price to rise to $600,000.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of April, Minerd <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/guggenheim-partners-warn-of-possible-bitcoin-correction-to-20000\">warned<\/a> of a possible correction of Bitcoin to $20,000, and in May <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/guggenheim-partners-call-cryptocurrencies-a-bubble-amid-market-rout\">called digital assets a bubble<\/a> amid a market crash.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at around $30,400, according to <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\/coins\/bitcoin\\\">CoinGecko<\/a>.
