The asset also operates on the Ethereum, Algorand, Stellar and Solana networks.<\/p>\n<p>USD Coin ranks eighth in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/en\">CoinGecko<\/a>&#8216;s ranking with a market capitalization of $25.37 billion. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/data\/decentralized-finance\/stablecoins\">The Block<\/a>, the total value of all &#8220;stablecoins&#8221; in circulation is $107.63 billion. USDC accounts for 22.81% of this market.<\/p>\n<p>The undisputed leader of the segment remains Tether (USDT), whose dominance index sits at 60.23%. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/wallet.tether.to\/transparency\">Tether&#8217;s transparency report<\/a>, the bulk of USDT (~$31.99 billion) is issued on this blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Centre consortium <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centre.io\/blog\/announcing-usdc-on-ten-new-blockchain-platforms\">announced<\/a> plans to issue its stablecoin on nine more blockchains: Avalanche, Celo, Flow, Hedera, Kava, Nervos, Polkadot, Stacks and Tezos.<\/p>\n<p>In June Circle announced a collaboration with the offline navigation service Maps.me.
