Signing is expected \\&#8221;in the coming days.\\&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The settlements call for payments of $3 million by Joshua Jeppesen, $576,000 by his fianc\u00e9e Laura Mascola, $526,000 by Ryan Maasen, and an amount yet to be specified by Michael Nobl.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Two other participants in the case, Craig Grant and Ryan Maasen, have not yet reached settlements with the SEC.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The SEC <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-charges-five-bitconnect-promoters\">charged<\/a> the aforementioned individuals in May this year. According to the regulator, from January 2017 to January 2018 the suspects sold unregistered securities, earning a share of the deals.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In January 2018 Bitconnect was accused of running a financial pyramid. At the height of its popularity the price of the native coin exceeded $500 and was in the top ten on CoinMarketCap.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In November 2020, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/australian-regulator-charges-bitconnect-promoter-john-bigatton\">charged<\/a> John Bigatton.
