{"id":46318,"date":"2021-07-19T15:42:58","date_gmt":"2021-07-19T12:42:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=46318"},"modified":"2025-09-01T15:46:43","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T12:46:43","slug":"racib-launches-project-to-attract-miners-to-russia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/racib-launches-project-to-attract-miners-to-russia\/","title":{"rendered":"RACIB launches project to attract miners to Russia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Russian Association of Cryptoeconomics, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain (RACIB) <a href=\\\"https:\/\/racib.com\/about\\\">announced<\/a> the launch of a project to attract mining companies to Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The association noted that Russia offers favorable conditions for miners \u2014 an electricity surplus and a cold climate that allows cooling of equipment without special cooling devices.<\/p>\n<p>To promote and implement the project, RACIB is working closely with local authorities and state corporations within working groups, the association said.<\/p>\n<p>As an example, RACIB cites a project to build mining farms powered by <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/study-finds-56-share-of-green-energy-in-bitcoin-mining-industry\">green energy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cIn addition to hydro and nuclear power, which account for about 40% of the country\u2019s total energy balance, new sources of electricity are also being considered, for example based on wind generation,\u201d the association said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The most promising site from this perspective is located in Rostov Oblast, home to a wind farm with a capacity of over 300 MW, the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>RACIB has already drawn up a list of suitable sites for building data centres and mining farms with a total capacity of more than 2 GW.<\/p>\n<p>The association will coordinate cooperation among various Russian government agencies, energy companies and foreign investors.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, RACIB&#8217;s largest overseas partner in this project is a consortium of mining companies from China.
