The project was financed by the Dash Investment Foundation, aimed at developing the ecosystem of the peer-to-peer payments platform.<\/p>\n<p>According to the press release, more than 155,000 point-of-sale and 125 online stores in the United States accept DashDirect as a payment method. Data: Dash Core Group.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The company argues that the app launch will foster cryptocurrency adoption among everyday consumers, as \u201cpeople now have a real reason to actually use digital assets.\u201d As of writing, it is available only in the United States, but the product is planned to roll out to new markets in the future.<\/p>\n<p>The developers emphasised that DashDirect is a non-custodial application. To access user funds it uses the official Dash wallet and does not charge a fee for converting funds.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dash.org\/ru\/\">Dash site<\/a>, in the first quarter of 2021 the volume of payments on the platform exceeded $3.64 billion. It is used daily by about 86,000 users, who on average conduct 23,660 transactions.<\/p>\n<p>As reported in October 2020, Dash Core Group\u2019s marketing director Fernando Gutierrez stated that DASH <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/dash-a-cryptocurrency-for-payments-not-for-privacy\">should not be regarded as one of the privacy-focused cryptocurrencies<\/a>.
