The group&#8217;s financial advisers were informed about the product launch only on 4 August. It is pitched as &#8220;the safest and cheapest of the private-market instruments available for investing in bitcoin&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>CoinDesk sources also emphasised that, in the future, the structure could be converted into a bitcoin <span data-descr=\\\"exchange-traded fund\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">ETF<\/span>, should this class of financial instruments receive approval from the <span data-descr=\\\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">SEC<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier reports said that JPMorgan opened to retail asset-management clients <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/jpmorgan-offers-retail-clients-access-to-cryptocurrency-funds\">access to three Grayscale Investments funds and the Osprey Bitcoin Trust<\/a>. The offering extends, among others, to users of the Chase app.<\/p>\n<p>In May, the bank&#8217;s chief Jamie Dimon acknowledged that the bank&#8217;s clients <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/jamie-dimon-acknowledges-jpmorgan-clients-interest-in-bitcoin\">are interested in the first cryptocurrency<\/a>. He emphasised that he himself remains sceptical about digital gold.<\/p>\n<p>In June, NYDIG and FS Investments <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/morgan-stanley-clients-to-invest-in-nydig-bitcoin-fund\">filed with the SEC to register a bitcoin fund<\/a> intended for clients of Morgan Stanley, the investment bank.<\/p>\n<p>In the same month, NYDIG <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nydig-and-ncr-to-give-650-us-banks-access-to-cryptocurrencies\">entered into an agreement with technology giant NCR<\/a>.
