{"id":47528,"date":"2021-08-11T15:43:11","date_gmt":"2021-08-11T12:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=47528"},"modified":"2025-09-01T21:49:48","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T18:49:48","slug":"zelensky-signs-law-creating-diia-city","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/zelensky-signs-law-creating-diia-city\/","title":{"rendered":"Zelensky signs law creating Diia City"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky <a href=\"http:\/\/w1.c1.rada.gov.ua\/pls\/zweb2\/webproc4_1?pf3511=70298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">signed the basic law<\/a> on the creation of the special legal regime Diia City.<\/p>\n<p>The legal regime provides for a special tax model for IT companies, the introduction of elements of English law to attract investment, and a separate procedure for interaction with government regulatory bodies.<\/p>\n<p>The law also introduces gig contracts. This is a hybrid of an employment contract and a contract for services: the specialist receives specific rights and obligations, while the employer gains a flexible cooperation model and a low tax burden on the worker.<\/p>\n<p>The provisions of the law will remain in effect for 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on July 15, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukraine-approves-basic-bill-establishing-diia-city\">approved in the second reading and in full<\/a> the basic bill on the creation of the special legal regime Diia City.<\/p>\n<p>According to an April poll, 80% of IT workers in Ukraine did not support the introduction of Diia City.
