In it, he instructed the preparation of proposals aimed at verifying information on cryptocurrency holdings by November 15 of this year. <\/p>\n<p>Responsible for implementation are the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Digital Development, and the Bank of Russia. The proposals should concern \u201cthe procedure for verifying the accuracy and completeness of information on ownership of digital financial assets (DFAs), other digital rights, and digital currencies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The agencies must also, by September 20, 2023, analyse and summarize the practice of submitting information on digital asset ownership and oversight of expenditures on their acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the plan, Putin ordered the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office to present by July 15, 2024 initiatives to improve regulation in the area of combating corruption, the subject of which are DFAs, digital rights and cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>In late 2020, Putin <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/putin-signs-decree-requiring-officials-to-declare-cryptocurrency-holdings\">signed a decree<\/a>, which obliges officials and candidates for relevant positions to provide information on their holdings of DFAs.<\/p>\n<p>In March, he <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/putin-orders-the-prosecutor-generals-office-to-curb-illicit-cross-border-transfers-of-digital-financial-assets\">ordered to curb<\/a> illegal cross-border transfers of digital assets.<\/p>\n<p>Read ForkLog Bitcoin news on our <a href=\"\/\/telegram.me\/forklog\" target=\"\u201c_blank\u201d\" rel=\"\u201cnofollow\u201d noopener\">Telegram<\/a> \u2014 cryptocurrency news, prices and analytics.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the anti-corruption plan for 2021-2024.
