If successful, the partners will launch new sites as the green energy infrastructure develops further.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership with Macquarie will be the next step for Blockstream after reaching similar agreements with Aker and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/square-to-invest-5-million-in-eco-friendly-bitcoin-mining-startup-blockstream\">Square<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Macquarie Group is one of the largest institutional investors in renewable energy infrastructure. As of 31 March 2021, 44 GW of capacity was under development or construction.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, experts from Square and ARK Invest <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/square-and-ark-invest-unveil-model-for-expanding-green-energy-through-bitcoin-mining\">presented<\/a> a solar-powered mining model that facilitates the transition of power grids to renewable energy sources.<\/p>\n<p>In August, Blockstream <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blockstream-raises-210-million-at-a-3-2-billion-valuation\">raised $210 million<\/a> in a Series B round.
