{"id":49876,"date":"2021-09-21T17:21:03","date_gmt":"2021-09-21T14:21:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=49876"},"modified":"2025-09-02T14:53:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T11:53:22","slug":"compass-launches-home-bitcoin-mining-solution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/compass-launches-home-bitcoin-mining-solution\/","title":{"rendered":"Compass launches home Bitcoin mining solution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The mining company Compass unveiled a home Bitcoin mining hardware delivery service and access for retail miners to the F2Pool pool.<\/p>\n<p>Users have access to three new ASIC miner models:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Whatsminer M31S+ with a hash rate of 78 TH\/s for $8100;<\/li>\n<li>Whatsminer M30S with a hash rate of 88 TH\/s for $9750;<\/li>\n<li>Antminer S19 with a hash rate of 95 TH\/s for $10 400.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Delivery time is from two to three weeks from the date of purchase.<\/p>\n<p>Compass, for its part, offers assistance in connecting miners to the pool and providing other ancillary services.<\/p>\n<p>Chief executive Whit Gibbs said the initiative arose amid an industry-wide shortage of data-center space.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We have received a significant number of requests for ASICs from people who want to start mining Bitcoin at home. Many prefer to set up a home farm and not wait for racks to become available in Q4 2021 or Q1 2022,&#8221; he said<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At present the service is available only in the United States. By the end of 2021 Compass plans to expand it to Canada and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Gibbs cited the support from the company\u2019s specialists as the main advantage of the offering.
