In an interview with ForkLog he noted that YouTube does not specify the exact reason for the ban and provides a vague formulation about violation of the terms of use. Access was restored after a wave of outcry from the community.<\/p>\n<p>In September <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/youtube-halts-bitcoin-focused-livestream-over-harmful-and-dangerous-content\">the video hosting administrator interrupted the stream<\/a> of the cryptocurrency blogger Sunn\u0443 Decree, dedicated to Bitcoin&#8217;s price, due to the presence of \u201charmful and dangerous\u201d content.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, fraudulent videos promoting free cryptocurrency giveaways not only went without moderation, but also ended up among the service&#8217;s recommended videos.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2020, criminals hacked dozens of accounts on YouTube, renamed them to allegedly various Microsoft brands, and, on behalf of Microsoft head Bill Gates, promoted a pyramid scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak joined a class-action lawsuit against YouTube and its parent company Google. The videos promoted free cryptocurrency giveaways using his name.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021 it emerged that <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/steve-wozniak-loses-lawsuit-against-youtube\">Wozniak lost the case<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In March, Ripple and its chief Brad Garlinghouse <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/brad-garlinghouse-and-ripple-settle-lawsuit-against-youtube\">reached a settlement with YouTube<\/a> over a lawsuit filed against the video platform in 2020.
