The volume of transactions was not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Participants in the Euroclear-led pilot project included BNP Paribas, Credit Agricole CIB, HSBC, Societe Generale and the French Ministry of Economy and Finance.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p><em>&#8220;The experiment confirmed that blockchain technology is suitable for recording trades using CBDC. The tested operating model confirmed the level of security required for settlements. The pilot also showed that blockchain platforms are able to interact with existing solutions&#8221;<\/em>, the document states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Participants in the experiment confirmed that the developed solution would eliminate the need for account reconciliation and thereby boost the efficiency of capital markets.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In March 2020, the Bank of France began studying the use of CBDC for interbank payments. Two months later, the central bank achieved the first successes in this initiative.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>In June 2021, the monetary regulator tested the digital euro <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bank-of-france-tests-cbdc-for-equity-settlements\">in securities transactions<\/a>.
