The same terms apply to US app users.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the threshold stood at $200.<\/p>\n<p>Revolut also waived fees:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>for cash withdrawals at ATMs up to $1,200 per month;<\/li>\n<li>for the first ten international money transfers;<\/li>\n<li>for opening up to five junior accounts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The initiative is designed to increase financial freedom for US citizens. Revolut hopes to raise brand awareness.<\/p>\n<p>The fintech company entered the US market in March 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a period that affected its business trajectory.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe had a modest start. Now we are restructuring the strategy\u201d<\/em>, \u2014 explained <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/120988\/revolut-slashes-crypto-trading-fees-in-bid-to-boost-us-business\">The Block<\/a> head of Revolut&#8217;s US division Ron Oliveira.<\/p>\n<p>Sources at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/121208\/revolut-hunts-us-ceo-ronald-oliveira-leaves\">The Block<\/a> reportedly said Oliveira would leave the company in the coming months. He has held the CEO role since November 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The app is positioned as a financial super-app. In July 2021, Revolut <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/revolut-launches-its-first-non-financial-service\">added a housing-booking service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In the same month, the fintech <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/online-bank-revolut-raises-800m-at-a-33bn-valuation\">raised $800 million<\/a> in another investment round.
