This was stated by the company&#8217;s CEO, Adam Aron, in an interview with <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/video\/2021\/10\/19\/amc-ceo-aron-on-the-recent-trading-frenzy-and-the-future-direction-of-the-company.html\\\">CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He said the token is among half a dozen ideas the company is pursuing at the moment.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p><em>Over the past few months we have stirred up a lot of noise about the hype surrounding cryptocurrencies. There are many reasons why AMC could succeed in issuing a token<\/em>, the executive stressed.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In August AMC <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/amc-theatres-to-accept-bitcoin-for-ticket-payments\">announced the sale of tickets for Bitcoin<\/a>, and in September <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/amc-to-add-ethereum-litecoin-and-bitcoin-cash-support-alongside-bitcoin\">promised to implement support for Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In October, the company added <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/amc-theatres-the-largest-cinema-chain-adds-dogecoin-support\">the ability to pay with Dogecoin<\/a>. At the same time, AMC introduced digital gift cards with a denomination of up to $200.
