The Financial Times reports.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?15\" data-telegram-post=\"forklog\/22172\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The advertising featuring the slogan &#8220;Missed Doge? Get Floki&#8221; (&#8220;\u0423\u043f\u0443\u0441\u0442\u0438\u043b Doge? \u041f\u043e\u043b\u0443\u0447\u0438 Floki&#8221;) appeared at London Underground stations, on trains and on buses.<\/p>\n<p>Such promotion could attract attention not only from potential investors but also regulators. In July, it was reported that the UK&#8217;s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uk-to-tighten-oversight-of-cryptocurrency-advertising\">would strengthen oversight of misleading and deceptive cryptocurrency-related advertisements<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The ASA said it had not yet received such complaints about Floki Inu. The regulator pledged to examine the advertisements carefully to ensure they reflect investment risks.<\/p>\n<p>On the <a href=\"https:\/\/realflokiinu.medium.com\/?p=8a3404d37822\">\u0431\u043b\u043e\u0433\u0435<\/a>, Floki Inu&#8217;s project team said it had also signed advertising agreements in downtown Los Angeles and planned to promote the coin in Japan, China, Russia, Vietnam and Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>In September, following Elon Musk&#8217;s tweet about a Shiba Inu puppy named Floki, the price of Floki Inu <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/shiba-floki-token-jumps-about-1300-after-elon-musks-latest-tweet\">rose by 139%<\/a>, and Shiba Floki rose by 1309%.<\/p>\n<p>In October, Shiba Inu <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/shiba-inu-meme-token-overtakes-uniswap-litecoin-and-avalanche-in-market-capitalization\">overtook in market capitalization<\/a> Uniswap, Litecoin and Avalanche. At the time of writing, the coin sits in 11th place on CoinMarketCap, just behind Dogecoin, with the project&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/meme-cryptocurrency-shiba-inu-hits-fresh-high-and-enters-the-top-10-by-market-capitalization\">capitalization exceeding $22 billion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Interest in meme tokens surged in 2021 amid Elon Musk&#8217;s frequent mentions.
