The Block reports, citing sources.<\/p>\n<p>According to them, the deal value was between $280 million and $300 million. A NYDIG spokesperson declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>BottlePay&#8217;s app is built using a Lightning Network scaling solution. <meta charset=\\\"utf-8\\\">At the end of 2019, British company Block Matrix announced the closure of the project due to the entry into force of the EU&#8217;s Fifth Anti-Money Laundering Directive.<\/p>\n<p>However, in July 2020 the bitcoin-payment service pledged to release a beta version of an improved application.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2021, Bottlepay <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/alan-howard-and-nydig-back-bottlepays-micro-payments-service-in-a-15-5-million-seed-round\">raised \u00a311 million (~$15.5 million)<\/a> in a seed round with the participation of billionaire Alan Howard, partners at Goldman Sachs, venture firm FinTech Collective and NYDIG.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021, the developers <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bottlepay-launches-bitcoin-payments-feature-on-twitter\">announced leaving beta and the launch of the payments sending feature<\/a>, tips and donations in Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>In April <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nydig-acquires-arctos-capital\">NYDIG acquired<\/a> the commercial lender Arctos Capital for an undisclosed sum.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribe to ForkLog news on <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/forklog\\\" target=\\\"_blank\\\" rel=\\\"nofollow noopener\\\">Facebook<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NYDIG, a platform focused on institutional players, has acquired the British startup BottlePay.
