Brave browser CEO Brendan Eich and Solana founder Anatoly Yakovenko announced a partnership under which the privacy-focused browser will integrate Solana blockchain support.<\/p>\n

The announcement was made at the Breakpoint conference<\/a> by Solana. Developers plan to implement the new features for both mobile and desktop Brave in the first half of 2022.<\/p>\n

“For billions of people, mobile internet will be their gateway to Web3. Deep browser integration is the key to helping dapps<\/span> create better web services,” Yakovenko said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He called the rollout a “significant step toward connecting the next billion users to Solana.” According to a press release, the collaboration is a direct result of demand from customers and developers.<\/p>\n

The integration will allow users to create accounts, perform cross-chain swaps via the Solana DEX aggregator, send SPL<\/span>-tokens, and will also include support for NFT<\/span>.<\/p>\n

On November 5, the price Solana (SOL) reached an all-time high<\/a> at $250. The asset edged out Tether (USDT) in market-cap rankings, taking fourth place.<\/p>\n

As of writing, SOL trades at around $246. Over the last 24 hours the coin has fallen 2.4%, according to CoinGecko<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In January, Brave integrated support for the IPFS protocol (‘interplanetary file system’). In February, the crypto browser’s marketplace was expanded with NFTs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In March, Brave announced support for the Binance Smart Chain ecosystem.<\/p>\n
