This was stated by the company&#8217;s co-founder <a href=\\\"https:\/\/t.me\/OGoMono\/719\\\">\u0437\u0430\u044f\u0432\u0438\u043b<\/a> Oleg Gorokhovsky.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that he is \u201cdeeply concerned\u201d by the regulator&#8217;s deliberations.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p>\u201cMicrofinance organizations that lend Ukrainians at 100,000% annual interest are okay for the NBU, but a crypto card raises concerns. The whole world already works with crypto\u2014from PayPal to Visa, and Ukraine, as always, has its own path,\u201d said the co-founder of Monobank.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Plans by the bank to issue a Bitcoin card <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukrainian-monobank-to-allow-customers-to-buy-bitcoin\">became known<\/a> in July. According to ForkLog, the project will be implemented in partnership with the WhiteBIT exchange.<\/p>\n<p>In October, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Kyrylo Shevchenko stated that to the regulator <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukraines-central-bank-chief-flags-regulators-concerns-over-digital-assets\">commercial banks have approached<\/a> with a request to issue cryptocurrency cards. However, according to him, the regulator is concerned about &#8216;the high risk of such operations and the necessary financial-monitoring procedures&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, on September 8, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukraine-recognises-cryptocurrencies-a-detailed-analysis-of-the-law-on-virtual-assets\">adopted the bill \u201cOn Virtual Assets\u201d<\/a>, regulating cryptocurrency operations in the country. However, later President Volodymyr Zelensky <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/zelensky-returns-law-on-virtual-assets-for-reconsideration\">returned the document for reconsideration<\/a> with his proposals.
