The Financial Times reports.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00abWe believed that the Chicago Mercantile Exchange futures would be an extremely effective component of the portfolio. But we never thought they would be effective if they made up 100% of the product\u00bb, said Anna Palya, head of ETF and index strategies at Invesco.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company believes that the basket should include the cryptocurrency itself, futures, swaps, and private funds to guard investors from liquidity drain.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00abWe ran a number of simulations in which the cost of rolling futures amounted to 60\u201380 basis points per month. We are talking about serious numbers, 5\u201310% on an annual basis\u00bb, added Palya.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Invesco noted that <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/invesco-files-to-launch-bitcoin-etf-expert-surprised-by-the-circumstances\">they filed an application<\/a> to launch a Bitcoin ETF within a day of SEC Chair Gary Gensler <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/gensler-warns-of-tighter-regulation-for-defi-and-stablecoins\">announcing<\/a> the need to comply with the 1940 Investment Company Act.<\/p>\n<p>On October 15, the SEC quietly <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-quietly-approves-first-futures-based-bitcoin-etf\">approved<\/a> the ProShares Bitcoin futures ETF application. <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/trading-starts-for-proshares-first-us-bitcoin-futures-etf\">Launched<\/a> on October 19, the fund posted <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/proshares-bitcoin-futures-etf-posts-the-second-most-active-debut\">the second-most active debut<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In October, the SEC <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-approves-futures-based-bitcoin-etfs-from-vaneck-and-valkyrie-investments\">approved<\/a> bitcoin futures ETFs from VanEck and Valkyrie Investments.<\/p>\n<p>In November, the crypto-lending platform BlockFi <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blockfi-files-for-launch-of-a-spot-bitcoin-etf\">filed an application<\/a> to launch a spot Bitcoin ETF based on the first cryptocurrency, in accordance with the Securities Act of 1933.
