In<a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2021-11-19\/binance-chief-zhao-buys-his-first-home-in-pro-crypto-dubai\\\"> Bloomberg<\/a> they saw this as a signal of the bitcoin exchange&#8217;s forthcoming headquarters opening.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;The emirate&#8217;s government is progressive; they have created favorable conditions for business. We are targeting this location. I bought an apartment there&#8221;<\/em>, <em>\u2014<\/em> he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier Zhao described his car and home as &#8216;illiquid&#8217;, explaining that this is the reason he did not own them.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview, the Binance CEO noted the continued interest of the bitcoin exchange in Singapore, where the local subsidiary<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/binance-to-restrict-singaporean-users-from-several-services-starting-oct-26-2021\"> filed a request<\/a> with the <span data-descr=\\\"Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">MAS<\/span> for a license.<\/p>\n<p>According to Zhao, an announcement about opening the headquarters will follow after discussions with regulators.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Our main office does not necessarily have to be here [in the UAE]. France and Singapore are also positive toward cryptocurrencies,&#8221;<\/em> he explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier Zhao<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/changpeng-zhao-outlines-plans-to-open-binance-headquarters-in-france\"> said<\/a> that Binance planned to open its headquarters in France.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the U.S. arm of the bitcoin exchange, plans to raise $200 million ahead of the IPO were disclosed.
