A $1 million funding has been allocated to the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The elder sister of Meta co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg (<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/facebook-rebrands-as-meta-nfts-to-feature-in-zuckerbergs-metaverse\">formerly Facebook<\/a>) is an entrepreneur, founder of Zuckerberg Media, and author of several books. For ten years, Randi worked at her brother&#8217;s company as Director of Market Development and a representative of Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>According to the press release, as head of the council she will advise OKCoin on attracting women to cryptocurrency projects, supporting blockchain programs, and other initiatives under their guidance.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00abHistorically, cryptocurrencies have enormous potential for great advances in creating a more just system, and it is a great honour for me to join the mission of OKCoin to create a more inclusive future of finance\u00bb, \u2014 said Zuckerberg.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>OKCoin noted the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/survey-men-invest-in-cryptocurrencies-twice-as-often-as-women\">survey results<\/a>, according to which the share of women among cryptocurrency investors is half that of men. The latter also dominate among industry leaders. The company said it aims to change these trends.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u00abHistorically, women and other marginalized social groups have been excluded from the traditional financial system.
