He was introduced to the cryptocurrency by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Schmidt <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/markets\/2016\/02\/07\/bitcoin-a-21st-century-currency-explained-by-a-wall-street-veteran\/\">described<\/a> bitcoin as \u201ca remarkable cryptographic achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In October, the Chainlink oracle network <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/associated-press-joins-chainlink-oracle-network\">welcomed the Associated Press<\/a>.
