{"id":54577,"date":"2021-12-13T13:56:29","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T11:56:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=54577"},"modified":"2025-09-03T21:07:57","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T18:07:57","slug":"bbva-switzerland-adds-ethereum-to-its-cryptocurrency-custody-and-trading-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/bbva-switzerland-adds-ethereum-to-its-cryptocurrency-custody-and-trading-service\/","title":{"rendered":"BBVA Switzerland adds Ethereum to its cryptocurrency custody and trading service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BBVA Switzerland, the Swiss subsidiary of one of Spain&#8217;s largest banks, Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbva.com\/en\/bbva-switzerland-adds-ether-to-its-cryptocurrency-custody-and-trading-service\/\">has added<\/a> Ethereum to the list of supported assets for the service that handles cryptocurrency custody and trading.<\/p>\n<p>The bank said it was the first traditional financial institution in Europe to add the second-largest cryptocurrency to its product lineup.<\/p>\n<p>According to CEO Alfonso Gomez, the move is driven by investors&#8217; desire to diversify portfolios.
