This was announced in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/nydig-announces-1-billion-funding-round-301444063.html\">press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The round was led by WestCap. Participating were Bessemer Venture Partners, FinTech Collective, as well as NYDIG&#8217;s earlier supporters including Affirm, FIS, Fiserv, MassMutual, Morgan Stanley and New York Life.<\/p>\n<p>Investors valued the company at $7 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of NYDIG said the firm would continue to develop an institutional-grade Bitcoin platform, implement <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/lightning-network-faster-cheaper-bitcoin-transactions\">Lightning<\/a>-payments and smart contracts, and work on asset tokenisation.<\/p>\n<p>In March, NYDIG <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nydig-raises-200-million-in-round-led-by-morgan-stanley-massmutual-and-other-investors\">raised $200 million<\/a> in a round with Morgan Stanley, MassMutual and other investors. In the next month, the firm <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nydig-raises-100-million-from-insurers\">received additional funds<\/a> from Starr Insurance, Liberty Mutual Insurance and other market participants.<\/p>\n<p>Back in July, FTX <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ftx-raises-900-million-at-an-18-billion-valuation\">attracted<\/a> a record $900 million at an $18 billion valuation.
