The entry consists of a single phrase &#8216;Hello, World!&#8217; (&#8216;Hello, World!&#8217;). The token sold for $750,000.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Also at the hammer went Wales\u2019s personal iMac, on which he made that very recording. The computer sold for $187,500.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The buyers of both lots were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in December, Wales <a href=\\\"https:\/\/onlineonly.christies.com\/s\/birth-wikipedia\/jimmy-wales-b-1966-2001\/141268\\\">\u0432\u044b\u0441\u0442\u0430\u0432\u0438\u043b<\/a> the first version of the Internet encyclopedia for sale at Christie\u2019s as an NFT.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>After the sale, the Wikipedia homepage will be posted online. Five minutes after editing, it will revert to its original state.
