I think that\u2019s the worst investment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dalio cautioned against judging asset returns in nominal terms, and urged adjusting for the depreciation of the US dollar, which left investors with roughly 4-5% losses in 2021.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cFor genuine diversification, allocate your investment portfolio not only by asset classes but also by country.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dalio also disclosed investments in Ethereum, but did not name an exact amount \u2014 \u201cnot very much.\u201d He said he holds a portion of his portfolio in cryptocurrencies to diversify.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI see them as alternative money in real terms amid the depreciation of fiat money. It\u2019s impressive that programmable currencies have lasted 10-11 years \u2014 they haven\u2019t been hacked, and they have a level of adoption.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier, the billionaire stated that Bitcoin <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ray-dalio-calls-bitcoin-gold-for-the-young\">is an alternative to gold for the younger generation<\/a>.
