He also served as Chief Legal Officer at Coinbase from 2018 to 2020.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2021 Binance.US <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/brian-brooks-to-lead-binance-us-unit\">hired Brooks as CEO<\/a>, but in July he <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/brian-brooks-resigns-as-binance-us-chief-executive-after-three-months\">left the company<\/a>, citing &#8216;different views on the strategic direction of development&#8217;.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cBrooks&#8217;s extensive experience as a leader of large crypto companies and as a driver of important state regulatory initiatives will help spur the growth of digital assets and Voyager&#8217;s business,\u201d said Voyager chairman Philip Eytan.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier in October Voyager Digital <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/crypto-broker-voyager-digital-has-secured-75-million-from-sam-bankman-frieds-alameda-research\">raised $75 million <\/a>from venture firm Alameda Research of Sam Bankman-Fried.
