This is stated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.coinbase.com\/coinbase-transparency-report-q1-q3-2021-80bb5c785da\">\u043e\u0442\u0447\u0435\u0442\u0435 \u043e \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0437\u0440\u0430\u0447\u043d\u043e\u0441\u0442\u0438 \u0441\u0435\u0440\u0432\u0438\u0441\u0430<\/a>, covering the period from January 1 to September 30.<\/p>\n<p>This is already the third such report, but Russia did not feature in the first two. There is no detailed information about the content of the requests.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, in the first three quarters of 2021 the exchange received 5,562 government requests. A large share (84%) collectively falls to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. We are obliged to respond to such requests if they are valid under financial regulations and other applicable laws,&#8221; said Coinbase representatives.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The number of requests received by the exchange in the first three quarters of 2021 is about 27% higher than for all of 2020. The platform currently has more than 73 million customers worldwide, according to its own data.<\/p>\n<p>In June, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/changpeng-zhao-outlines-binances-push-to-protect-customers-and-ensure-compliance\">said<\/a> that since the start of the year the exchange had answered 5,600 inquiries from law enforcement.
