The parent company of Tinkoff Bank, TCS Group Holding, acquired a stake in the Switzerland-based cryptocurrency fintech service Aximetria.<\/p>\n
TCS Group Holding bought the stake previously owned by the international investment company Digital Horizon, ForkLog representatives said.<\/p>\n
Details of the deal were not disclosed.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cAs a rule, on the Russian market, the venture builder Digital Horizon invests in portfolio companies up to $2 million and owns a stake of 70-80%,\u201d the company noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
According to documents<\/a>, in November TCS Group bought 4449 shares of Aximetria at CHF 100 per share.<\/p>\n
The fintech service’s site states that the service is now part of the TCS Group.<\/p>\n
Aximetria will develop as part of the Tinkoff Group’s international expansion, in compliance with the requirements of jurisdictions where it has an international presence.<\/p>\n
In 2019, the service received a license from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).<\/p>\n
In April 2021, Aximetria opened the investments in cryptocurrencies through Russian banks<\/a>.<\/p>\n
In June, at Tinkoff Bank, the readiness to provide clients with cryptocurrency trading services<\/a> was announced, but they noted that this was hindered by the hard stance of the Bank of Russia<\/a> toward assets.<\/p>\n
