And it starts right here\u2026<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zgbRvaWixv\">https:\/\/t.co\/zgbRvaWixv<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/h25H4EGYB4\">pic.twitter.com\/h25H4EGYB4<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Input Output (@InputOutputHK) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/InputOutputHK\/status\/1482052306589917186?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 14, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Now that we have entered the Basho phase, we are putting more effort into optimisation and scaling. \u2026 Parameter adjustments, improvements, refinements and other innovations \u2014 all of this will play a role in the sustained increase in Cardano\u2019s performance and throughput during 2022,&#8221; Harrison wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>To achieve these goals, IOHK plans to work on on-chain and off-chain solutions.<\/p>\n<p>The first set includes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>increasing block size;<\/li>\n<li>reducing block propagation time;<\/li>\n<li>introduction of <a href=\"https:\/\/eprint.iacr.org\/2016\/889.pdf\">input endorsers<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>the introduction of memory and CPU parameters in Plutus smart contracts and improvements to their scripts;<\/li>\n<li>general node modernization;<\/li>\n<li>the ability to store part of the blockchain state data on the nodes&#8217; disk space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Developers plan to integrate the Cardano network with a number of sidechains, including <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/dcspark\/dcspark-announces-development-of-new-sidechain-protocol-milkomeda-cc28ed764a89\">Milkomeda<\/a> from dcSpark and Mamba (IOHK\u2019s own development).<\/p>\n<p>The company will continue to work on the Hydra Layer-2 protocol and the implementation of off-chain computations. In particular, the network may gain the ability for asynchronous contract execution (Asynchronous Contract Execution, ACE).<\/p>\n<p>IOHK also intends to implement the <a href=\"https:\/\/iohk.io\/en\/blog\/posts\/2021\/10\/29\/mithril-a-stronger-and-lighter-blockchain-for-better-efficiency\/\">Mithril<\/a> protocol introduced in 2021, which is designed to improve blockchain synchronisation and increase the efficiency of multi-signature aggregation.<\/p>\n<p>In the last 24 hours Cardano (ADA) rose by more than 8%, according to CoinGecko.
