This view was voiced by specialists at investment firm Invesco in their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.invesco.com\/emea\/en\/invesco-insights\/insights\/the-aristotle-list-10-improbable-but-possible-outcomes-for-2022.html\">list<\/a> of \u201cunlikely, but possible\u201d outcomes for 2022.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The mass marketing of Bitcoin reminds us of the activity of stock brokers on the eve of the 1929 crash,&#8221; the experts wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In their view, the decline from a high of $42,000 in early January exactly fits the bubble pattern.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/rb1COQNRbZ51Kde3bZMvFV5G7-PynNHQ-f6En_l0dTFG8bx8sCrCHvIuq6pDmmHg-VEfV0lOIHN2t2fogFT5EBZ7c3wt-JaZxLE2-n-rRCAvBrG_ByuHSFCp6qWAFeFuu9ZS8r1-\" alt=\"Invesco predicted Bitcoin drop below $30,000 in 2022\" \/><figcaption>Data: Invesco.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The trajectory implies a 45% loss in the asset&#8217;s value within 12 months of the peak of a typical financial mania.<\/p>\n<p>Under this model, the price will fall to $34,000\u2013$37,000 by the end of October.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The pattern also suggests that bubbles usually deflate over the next two years. Accordingly, we think it is not too difficult to envisage Bitcoin falling below $30,000 this year,&#8221; the experts said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>They admitted they were wrong with their 2021 forecast, when they predicted the price would fall below $10,000, while the first cryptocurrency <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-price-hits-all-time-high-at-69000\">reached record highs<\/a> near $69,000. The Invesco specialists attributed the miss to Bitcoin, it seems, going through a series of bubbles.<\/p>\n<p>Back in December 2021, Louis Navellier, CEO and founder of Navellier &#038; Associates, allowed for a <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/investor-billionaire-louis-navellier-warns-bitcoin-could-fall-to-10000\">return of the price of digital gold to $10,000<\/a>, drawing attention to the hype around cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>In January, DoubleLine Capital CEO Jeffrey Gundlach said Bitcoin was too expensive in light of the coming tightening of monetary policy by the <span data-descr=\"Federal Reserve System\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Fed<\/span> and proposed waiting for the price to drop to $25,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bond-king-jeffrey-gundlach-urges-waiting-for-bitcoin-to-fall-to-25000-on-fed-policy\">before buying it<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The price of Bitcoin could fall to $30,000 as the asset bubble deflates.
