Co-founder of the DeFi project Wonderland, Daniele Sestagalli, said he is prepared to shut it down amid a serious split in the community.<\/p>\n
At the end of January it emerged that Sestagalli’s partner and treasury manager is Michael Patryn<\/a>. The man who had been operating under the alias 0xSifu is known as the co-founder of the bankrupt QuadrigaCX exchange. He had previously been convicted of financial crimes.<\/p>\n Because of the outrage in the community, Sestagalli proposed that Patryn step down ahead of a vote on his appointment. Some 87.56% opposed 0xSifu continuing to manage the protocol’s assets.<\/p>\n Subsequently there was a vote on a proposal to dissolve the project and return funds to investors. It was supported by more than 34% of voters; at one point the figure was higher.<\/p>\n “The Wonderland experiment is coming to an end. The results of the vote show that the community is split. It is the core and heart of the project.
