In essence, it\u2019s unique and cannot ever be replicated. The second place (for other use cases) is still not defined. Ethereum remains the leader for now, but Solana and others are catching up,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Marcus noted the decentralisation of digital gold, its resilience to censorship and the asset\u2019s strong network effects. He emphasised that Bitcoin\u2019s creation was akin to the Big Bang for cryptocurrencies.<\/p>\n<p>In a thread, eToro founder Yoni Assia joked that Marcus had been bitten by a Bitcoin bug. To which the former head of Diem replied:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThat happened a long time ago. Nevertheless, the level of infection over time is only increasing.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Marcus has indeed long been a proponent of the leading cryptocurrency.
