The shares will trade under the ticker CNCK.<\/p>\n<p>The combined company is valued at $1.25 billion. The stake of Coincheck&#8217;s controlling shareholder, Monex Group, will be 82%. THCP will provide $237 million in cash. <\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.globenewswire.com\/news-release\/2022\/03\/22\/2407458\/0\/en\/Coincheck-Inc-a-subsidiary-of-Japan-s-Monex-Group-Enters-Definitive-Merger-Agreement-with-Thunder-Bridge-Capital-Partners-IV-Inc.html\">press release<\/a> the regulated FSA platform serves 1.5 million verified clients, offering the largest number of crypto assets among Japanese exchanges and the opportunity to participate <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/japanese-bitcoin-exchange-coincheck-to-conduct-ieo\">in IEO<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Coincheck was the victim of one of the largest hacks in cryptocurrency history.
