MtGox NFTs would go only to clients of the hacked platform.<\/p>\n<p>UNG0X will launch in the third quarter of 2022. The agency will assign and maintain ratings for cryptocurrency exchanges and related entities. The assessment will be based on Mark Karpeles&#8217;s experience in running Mt.Gox and a patented algorithm.<\/p>\n<p>The issuance of MtGox NFTs is expected to total 1,066,097 tokens\u2014the number of Mt.Gox users at the time of its collapse in early 2014.<\/p>\n<p>To issue the NFTs, accounts must be verified on the exchange via mtgoxnft.net and provide the required information. The minting could take several weeks.<\/p>\n<p>MtGox NFT holders will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mtgoxnft.net\/l\/en-US\/\">receive<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an eternal and free subscription to UNGOX services;<\/li>\n<li>a certificate of being an early Bitcoin supporter and of having experienced the bankruptcy of the largest Bitcoin exchange at the time;<\/li>\n<li>membership in a DAO and other yet-to-be-developed use cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;MtGox NFT proves that you were at the dawn of Bitcoin, and now you can prove it on the blockchain&#8221;<\/em>, the project&#8217;s site says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The initiative is not connected with the ongoing Mt.Gox bankruptcy proceedings and does not affect them.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in Tokyo, the Tokyo District Court <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/court-approves-mt-gox-creditors-bitcoin-restitution-plan\">approved<\/a> the Mt.Gox civil rehabilitation plan.<\/p>\n<p>The plan for reimbursing users was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/mt-gox-trustee-submits-2-6-billion-plan-to-compensate-bitcoin-creditors\">presented<\/a> in December 2020. In January 2021, the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/details-emerge-of-mt-gox-creditors-payouts\">details of the plan<\/a> were disclosed, and in February the court <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/court-approves-mt-gox-creditors-restitution-plan\">approved<\/a> it for subsequent voting.<\/p>\n<p>It <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/mt-gox-creditors-begin-online-vote-on-bitcoin-restitution-plan\">started<\/a> on May 31 and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/mt-gox-creditors-back-plan-for-bitcoin-restitution\">ended<\/a> on October 20.
