Among the pioneers were OpenSea and The Sandbox, and among the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.sitel.com\/glossary\/disruptor\/#:~:text=Definition,shaking%20up%20the%20status%20quo\\\">disruptors<\/a> \u2014 Paxful.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The publication included in its list those companies that shape the future of various sectors of the economy, including healthcare, entertainment and technology.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>They were selected according to criteria such as relevance, impact, innovation, leadership, ambition and success. They were categorised as pioneers, titans, leaders, innovators and disruptors.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>OpenSea made the list thanks to its role in the NFT hype. The marketplace&#8217;s trading volume last year surged 646-fold \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/2021-in-figures-bitcoin-records-nft-gamefi-boom-and-the-rise-of-ethereums-l2-solutions\">to $14.6 billion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p><em>\u201cBeyond art and creativity, NFTs are now tickets to events, games, music and fashion. Perhaps one day almost everything we own will be recorded on the blockchain,\u201d<\/em> \u2014 said Devin Finzer, CEO and co\u2011founder of OpenSea.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The Sandbox features in the Top 100 as an example of the \u201cnew world.\u201d Digital land sales in the metaverse project topped $2 billion. Over the year, the number of its owners jumped by 375% to 19,000, including <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/parcel-of-land-near-snoop-dogg-in-the-sandbox-sold-for-458038\">Snoop Dogg<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/gucci-buys-a-parcel-of-land-in-the-sandbox-metaverse\">Gucci<\/a> and others. The number of The Sandbox users reached 2.1 million.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Paxful earned its place on the list thanks to its drive to give everyone access to cryptocurrencies.
