This was announced by the former Blockstream head of strategic development at the Bitcoin 2022 conference, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2022\/04\/07\/ex-blockstream-exec-samson-mow-raises-21m-for-bitcoin-startup-jan3\/\">CoinDesk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cJAN3 will focus on advancing Bitcoin and second\u2011layer solutions such as Liquid and Lightning, which are central to the mass adoption of cryptocurrency and to building a circular economy. The company will also support my initiatives to implement Bitcoin at the national level and contribute expert input to infrastructure development projects,\u201d Mow said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Investors in the project include Chun Wang, co-founder of F2Pool, as well as El Zonte Capital, the investment firm founded by Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert.<\/p>\n<p>JAN3 will manage the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/blockstream-unveils-new-wallet-with-bitcoin-and-liquid-sidechain-support\">AQUA<\/a> and Green wallets from Blockstream, as well as the NFT marketplace Raretoshi. The startup signed a memorandum of understanding with the Salvadoran government; it will become one of the providers of the country\u2019s cryptocurrency infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2022, Mow announced his departure from Blockstream, saying he had decided to focus on national\u2011level Bitcoin adoption.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Blockstream will continue to be a critical part of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bitcoin?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Bitcoin<\/a> infrastructure development &#038; Layer 2 scaling tech like <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Liquid_BTC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Liquid_BTC<\/a> &#038; Lightning.
