This was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.research.arcane.no\/the-weekly-update\">noted<\/a> by Arcane Research analysts.<\/p>\n<p>They noted that since the start of the year the cash flow from mining 1 BTC has been in a sideways trend. After deducting electricity costs (at a rate of $0.05 per kWh), the Antminer S19 yields about $31,000 per Bitcoin, taking into account <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-breaks-local-low-below-39000\">the price of the coin at $39,000<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/_EMSSg3n6HlaTgimBmtc9B9a3S8BGU4R9PGu0fxJx6JBYd8oF5bNnr3zEYW9vj6EkBWcuGoFP4tkn8rYZhR8VM6ehcBhTU7TJ3Q625va6RzUE15tNifSMg4lmzM2H_s_LwGeW40k\" alt=\"Experts forecast a decline in mining profitability\"\/><figcaption>Cash flow from mining 1 BTC. Data: Arcane Research.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The most important factor for mining profitability is the price of the cryptocurrency, which has fallen from $46,000 at the start of the year to around $40,000. The network hashrate, which rose by 15% during this period, also materially affects profitability, the experts noted.<\/p>\n<p>High profitability of Bitcoin mining during autumn led to a mass expansion of capacity, which will come online in the coming months. This will inevitably lead to higher hashrate, and subsequently <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-hashrate-and-mining-difficulty-in-cryptocurrencies\">mining difficulty<\/a>, Arcane Research believes.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAs the hashrate grows, mining profitability may come under further pressure if we do not see a substantial rise in Bitcoin&#8217;s price in the near future,\u201d the analysts said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In their view, signs of declining profitability are indicated by a drop in demand for mining equipment.
