April was the fourth consecutive month of decline in the global pace of crypto-ATM installations. This is evidenced by data from Coin ATM Radar<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The largest number of devices appeared in August 2021 \u2014 2,037 units. This occurred amid upcoming legalization of Bitcoin<\/a> in El Salvador. As of writing, the country has 204 crypto ATMs.<\/p>\n

In December 2021 there were 1,969 machines installed worldwide, and from January 2022 the trend began to decline \u2014 in that month 1,687 new ATMs appeared. In February \u2014 970, in March \u2014 757, in April \u2014 739.<\/p>\n

There are currently 37,052 devices worldwide.<\/p>\n

The leading manufacturer is Genesis Coin, accounting for 41.5% of the market. It is followed by General Bytes (21.6%), BitAccess (15.2%) and Coinsource (5.3%).<\/p>\n

The top 10 operators control more than half of the operational Bitcoin ATMs (69.9%). The leaders \u2014 Bitcoin Depot, CoinCloud and CoinFlip \u2014 account for more than 9% of the total each.<\/p>\n

In January, Grand View Research forecast<\/a> growth of the crypto-ATM market to $1.88 billion by 2028.<\/p>\n
