The authors noted the need to assess this issue &#8216;in the context of other EU policy objectives, notably anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Hansen noted that the baseline scenario provides for access by intermediaries (banks) to transaction data. He urged community participants to provide feedback on CBDC design.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/have-your-say\/initiatives\/13392-A-digital-euro-for-the-EU_en\">Information<\/a> on the European Commission&#8217;s website, public comments on the digital euro will close on June 14, 2022. In mid-April, the body <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/european-commission-receives-10000-public-comments-on-digital-euro\">received<\/a> around 10,000 responses.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative to issue the digital euro originated in November 2019.
