This view was presented by billionaire Ray Dalio in an interview with the <a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/markets\/stocks\/news\/exclusive-with-et-now-ray-dalio-on-inflation-india-twitter-takeover-bitcoin-and-more\/videoshow\/91367029.cms\">Economic Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The founder of Bridgewater Associates acknowledged the likeness of the first cryptocurrency to the main precious metal with finite supply, but noted obstacles to its becoming a reserve asset for central banks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Transactions can be traced [\u2026]. They can be controlled, cancelled and made illegal,&#8221;<\/em> Dalio said, without providing further explanation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The billionaire also compared Bitcoin&#8217;s market capitalization to Microsoft\u2019s and concluded that the first cryptocurrency &#8220;is less suited&#8221; for wealth preservation relative to gold.<\/p>\n<p>Despite scepticism, Dalio acknowledged the need to diversify portfolios with digital assets and expressed optimism about the industry\u2019s prospects over the next ten years.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;We are currently in an environment where there are risks of confiscation of any form. Gold handles this task better.
