We remain optimistic on the space overall yet recognize we need to reposition our Company to capitalize on the changing landscape.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>With that in mind, the company is shutting down it Vancouver office while hiring more people for its New York-based team. Galaxy Digital\u2019s current president Richard Tavoso will leave his role at the end of the year continuing as a trusted advisor and a member of the board of managers.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BB-x7a2R1Eg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Mike Novogratz is one of the industry\u2019s key players who repeatedly expresses his confidence that the market will surge to record highs in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Galaxy Digital is listed on the Canada-based <a href=\"http:\/\/forklog.media\/mike-novogratzs-cryptobank-to-debut-on-canadas-tsx-venture-exchange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TSX Venture Exchange<\/a> (TSX-V) and has four main lines of business \u2013 trading, asset management, principal investments and advisory services. Today\u2019s announcement also says that David Namdar, co-head of trading, will be leaving Galaxy Digital to pursue other opportunities, while Peter Wisniewski, who held similar position, will assume responsibility and oversight of the company&#8217;s day-to-day trading activities.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-11-08\/novogratz-s-galaxy-digital-hires-former-goldman-banker-taylor\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>, Galaxy will look to a former Goldman Sachs alumni, Ian Taylor, to run the advisory-services arm \u2013 Galaxy Digital Advisors LLC. The company declined to comment though, with the story based in information from anonymous sources.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Novogratz, a former hedge fund manager, was himself once a partner at Goldman Sachs.
