The financing also included new and existing investors, including Tiger Global. As part of the deal, StarkWare employees had the opportunity to sell their shares.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2017, StarkWare provides two Ethereum scaling-focused products \u2014 StarkEx and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/starkware-launches-alpha-version-of-starknet-the-l2-scaling-solution\">StarkNet<\/a>. The former is based on a <span data-descr=\\\"software as a service\\\" class=\\\"old_tooltip\\\">SaaS<\/span>-model and <a href=\\\"https:\/\/starkware.co\/starkex\/\\\">\u043f\u043e\u0437\u0432\u043e\u043b\u044f\u0435\u0442<\/a> decentralized applications to meet \\&#8221;specific needs\\&#8221;. It is used by platforms such as dYdX and Sorare.<\/p>\n<p>The second product is a permissionless solution on top of Ethereum based on Rollup. It enables developers to create and deploy their own smart contracts, as well as interact with other applications.<\/p>\n<p>The funds from investors will be directed toward expanding the product line, growing the business, and building an ecosystem around StarkEx and StarkNet.
