Representatives of the messaging app did not confirm the leak.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/adyingnobody\/status\/1534021154674966529\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The thread&#8217;s author, which at the time of writing had over 3,000 retweets, says they used a software exploit to pull text files from cryptocurrency-industry group chats and private exchanges.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cA vulnerability discovered in October 2019 allows access to private group chats if proper permissions were not set,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/150472\/telegram-says-lurid-twitter-claims-have-all-the-hallmarks-of-a-hoax\">\u0437\u0430\u044f\u0432\u0438\u043b<\/a> adyingnobody.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to him, the messages contain information about fraudulent crypto projects, sexual violence, pedophilia, contracted killings and other compromising details.<\/p>\n<p>The thread&#8217;s author promised to publish all available data in stages: June 15, June 30 and July 7.<\/p>\n<p>A Telegram spokesperson in a comment to The Block <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblockcrypto.com\/post\/150472\/telegram-says-lurid-twitter-claims-have-all-the-hallmarks-of-a-hoax\">\u0437\u0430\u044f\u0432\u0438\u043b<\/a>, that the tweet bears \u201call the hallmarks of a hoax\u201d and is likely an attempt to steal seed phrases from users&#8217; cryptocurrency wallets.<\/p>\n<p>As reported in May, experts found that OpenAI&#8217;s Copilot code-writing AI assistant could propose <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/iskusstvennyj-intellekt-slil-zakrytye-klyuchi-ot-kriptokoshelkov\/\">\u0437\u0430\u043a\u0440\u044b\u0442\u044b\u0435 \u043a\u043b\u044e\u0447\u0438 \u043e\u0442 \u0440\u0435\u0430\u043b\u044c\u043d\u044b\u0445 \u043a\u0440\u0438\u043f\u0442\u043e\u0430\u0434\u0440\u0435\u0441\u043e\u0432<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Twitter user claimed to have gained access to 137.21 GB of Telegram users&#8217; messages.
