As a result, the probability of price fluctuations in WAVES and TRON (TRX), linked to each of the above stablecoins, may increase, so investors should be careful,\u2019 the statement said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>As of writing, USDN trades at around $0.96, USDD at approximately $0.98 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coingecko.com\/\">CoinGecko<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>In May, against the backdrop of <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/terras-death-spiral-how-and-why-luna-and-ust-collapsed\">the collapse of UST from Terra<\/a>, the exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/upbit.com\/service_center\/notice?id=2672\">drew<\/a> users\u2019 attention to the cryptocurrencies traded on the platform that participate in maintaining the price of certain algorithmic stablecoins. In addition to the assets above, the following were included:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>NEAR \u2014 USN;<\/li>\n<li>KAVA \u2014 USDX;<\/li>\n<li>HIVE \u2014 HBD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upbit noted that a sudden change in collateral value or a malfunction in the stablecoin\u2019s algorithm could lead to sharp moves in the prices of the assets linked to it.<\/p>\n<p>On June 13, USDD <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/algorithmic-stablecoin-usdd-briefly-lost-its-peg-to-the-us-dollar\">lost its peg<\/a> to the dollar amid the broader <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitcoin-price-tumbles-below-23000\">downturn in the cryptocurrency market<\/a>.
