The future of money is both digital and mobile, and now Gemini is too with the launch of the Gemini Mobile App!\u201d<\/strong> reads the blog post.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The app is available for both iOS and Android, with further functionality including a \u201crecurring buy\u201d feature, as well as support for a newly-launched investment vehicle dubbed \u201cThe Cryptoverse\u201d. The latter is a basket of cryptocurrencies, weighted by market capitalization, which can be bought as a single order.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/michaeldelcastillo\/2018\/12\/11\/defiant-winklevoss-brothers-expand-crypto-offering-we-can-weather-this-downturn\/#7e9a2a2d7105\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Forbes<\/a>, Cameron Winklevoss, the president of Gemini, said that the exchange could handle the severe drop in cryptocurrency prices since the all-time highs achieved last December:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cFor many years when we were building Gemini, price wasn\u2019t a thing. Bitcoin was a $200 coin. Then, last year is actually an anomaly, and almost, you could argue, a distraction\u2026 While some capital might be leaving the market, the human capital is really impressive, and it\u2019s long-term capital. People don\u2019t make decisions to enter crypto on a month-to-month or price to price basis.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2018-12-11\/winklevoss-twins-ignore-crypto-winter-looking-toward-2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a>, the twins also revealed their 2019 goal of expanding to the Asian crypto market, where they will face stiff competition from a thriving exchange industry that includes the likes of Bitfinex, Binance and Huobi.
