This is reported by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theinformation.com\/articles\/etoro-to-abandon-deal-to-go-public-via-spac-merger\"> The Information<\/a>, citing a source.<\/p>\n<p>According to the publication, the deal with FinTech Acquisition Corp. V was scheduled for June 30. However, the process did not move forward, a source said.<\/p>\n<p>eToro did not comment on the information, but announced an update in the coming days.<\/p>\n<p>In December 2020,<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/media-etoro-plans-ipo-on-wall-street-to-raise-5-billion\">reported plans<\/a> for the platform to go public. At the time, the company called these &#8216;market rumours&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2021,<a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/etoro-to-go-public-via-merger-valued-at-about-10-billion\"> eToro announced its intention<\/a> to obtain public status through a merger with FinTech Acquisition Corp. V.<\/p>\n<p>The parties delayed closing the deal until June 2022 due to lack of approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
