This is stated in the <a href=\\\"https:\/\/www.ecb.europa.eu\/pub\/financial-stability\/macroprudential-bulletin\/html\/ecb.mpbu202207_1~750842714e.en.html\\\">ECB&#8217;s Financial Stability Review<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>Analysts have concluded that the lack of regulatory oversight and the collapse of some algorithmic stablecoins <a href=\\\"https:\/\/forklog.news\/spiral-smerti-terra-kak-i-pochemu-luna-i-ust-poterpeli-krah\/\\\">such as TerraUSD<\/a> point to contagion effects that such assets can trigger in the financial system.<\/p>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\\\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\\\">\n<p><em>Major &#8216;stablecoins&#8217; perform a critical liquidity function [\u2026]. This could have wide-ranging consequences for digital asset markets if a malfunction occurs or trust is lost<\/em>, the report says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\\n\\n<\/p>\n<p>The ECB also judged the use of stablecoins as a means of payment to be impractical.
